Can't figure out why that title seems appropriate for my rant tonight. At least it does so inside my head. Maybe it has something to do with choices. You see, it has something to do fitness. Yes, fitness. Not exactly a topic any geek would be comfortable with. It involves getting up off our collective asses and hitting the gym to do some reps to get in shape. The prospect of sweating and grunting and be humiliated by others who are in better shape is not exactly my cup of tea. Good God, I can barely get thru the normal warm-up routines for my Soo Bahk Do.
So why the interest? Let's just put it this way. I'm tired of being drained and listless for most of the week. Most of the time I sit while working and at home I'm either sitting down playing with the family's Playstation 2 or I'm asleep in my bed taking a nap. After a while easily getting tired gets tiring. Or boring.
I've checked the Internet since it has way more information than the local city library.... Actually Ateneo de Davao University's library is the largest here in Davao but I'm not a student anymore so I can't borrow any books from there. So off to the nearest Internet cafe for me in my quest for knowledge.
Turns out what I needed isn't in Wikipedia. Ended up in other blogs. At least the people there know what they're talking about. I hope. I've come across a some comments in a few blogs that basically say that what the blogger is proposing isn't possible. Ahhh, I'm confused now. More knowledge than I need.
You see, the problem I have is not losing weight. It's gaining weight. I used to call my condition having a very lively metabolism. Now I know I'm what bodybuilders and fitness enthusiasts call ectomorphic. Yup. Skinny, long-limbed, and can devour table-loads without gaining a single kilogram. Sucks. Big time.
Anyways, I plan to look into this more... And hopefully learn soon how to properly post blogs. I don't think I got my linking down pat yet. But soon... Oh yes, very soon >:D The world will be mine.
